Renal Healthcare Technician
As an Interserve Healthcare Renal Technician, you will work as part of a team providing care and support to clients requiring renal dialysis in their own homes. This service offers clients suffering with kidney failure the freedom to live an independent life.
Our renal technicians have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a caring and compassionate attitude; and the ability to commit to flexible hours. The role will include regular shifts, some of which will be during unsociable hours. Renal Technicians must have six months’ experience working in care in the UK; a full UK driving licence and an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
To work independently, supported by client lead nurses
Assisting patients with dialysis treatment including machine set-up
Connecting patients to the machine and supporting other care needs according to their care plan and prescription sheet
Carry out and record observations of a client's general wellbeing
Accurate record keeping for the management of stock levels
Monitoring the delivery of care
Work with clients who have a range of clinical needs
