On Call team member
Interserve’s care staff are supported 24-hours a day, seven days a week. During office hours this support is available through their local branch team, and at all other times by the on call team.
Our on call team of healthcare professionals ensures that clients can rely on the high quality care service we provide and our staff have access to advice and support in the case of an unexpected incident or emergency.
The on call team provides back-up support from 5.00 pm throughout the night to 8.00 am in the morning, plus weekends and bank holidays and including Christmas and New Year’s Day.
The on call service is an extension of our local care teams and will provide expert healthcare consultancy to our care staff who may be working in a new environment, or require advice and confirmation of their decisions around medication, services or processes.
The on call team is available outside regular office hours to clients as well as our care staff. It is part of Interserve Healthcare's commitment to the safety and wellbeing of clients and staff.
To work independently, managing a caseload and reporting to registered manager
To deliver support to clients and client care staff out of hours
Provide emergency contact for clients, nurses and client care staff
Assess clients’ care needs through the contact centre
Ensure all clients have access to the whole team and provide the standard of care expected of the company
Reviewing of documentation
Monitoring the delivery of care
